Cara’s Protein Power Plate

What good is a diet if, the food is so boring that eating it everyday brings no spice in your life. I have devised this plate that hits the spot especially post workout when salad and chicken just won’t cut it. Its simple to prepare and you’ll think your cheating……here is what you need:

1lb turkey chopped meat (or top round london broil ground through twice)

1tblsp olive oil (extra virgin)

4cloves garlic roughly chopped

1 large onion sliced

1 red pepper

1 green pepper

1 container POM chopped tomatoes

2 cups organic low sodium chicken broth

1 can organic black beans (optional)

3tbsp. red hot hot sauce

tahini (for garnish)

Brown the chopped meat add the chopped tomatoes season with chili powder. In a separate skillet (cast iron is best ) saute the onion garlic and peppers until soft add the tomatoes and chopped meat until combined all hot sauce let simmer 15-20 minutes……..add beans

Salt Pepper to taste

Serve over short grain brown rice and drizzle tahini over the top……..enjoy
