Lion's Mane Mushroom, also known as Yamabushitake, is a dietary mushroom that can be safely supplemented (it is widely consumed in Japan and China without harmful effects). Lion's mane is mainly sought after for its cognitive enhancing and immunomodulating benefits. One human study using 3g of lion's mane powder—this would equate to 6 capsules/day of this product—showed significant improvements on a rating scale of dementia in persons suffering from general cognitive decline. It also increased cognition versus control, and the degree of improvement increased over time, and even after 4 weeks of cessation there was a marginal decline but levels were still significantly elevated above control.
Symptoms of anxiety and depression were reduced in humans fed 2g of lion's mane/day (this would be 4 capsules/day of this product) over the course of 4 weeks. There was also a significant difference between groups on the measurements of concentration and irritability—both favoring the lion's mane group.
Take one serving (2 caps) daily.
